THE OFFICIAL QUEST ORB TIP

The fog that is within the orb quickly gives way to the image of a shining city
of light which can only be Telberin. You see yourself walking through the
streets to locate the Mage Guild, and within, talking with a tall regal elf.
The scene shifts to a young intrepid elf, exploring, the wilderness of Emerald.
Finally, you see yourself walking the same path as the young elf before the
vision fades.

OVERVIEW

  • The mage has lost his apprentice and wants your help in finding him.
  • He was last heard of in the mountains of the North Shore area.
  • Explore and follow the mages earlier instructions to make your report.
  • This is the first quest in the EPIC series, the "Crystal Torque". =)

 

KEY LOCATIONS / NPC's (Non Player Characters)

  • Telberin, A tall regal elf (Satherel) at the mages guild in Telberin.
  • North Shore, Chimney at a fetid pool at the base of a cliff to get to the Blackwall Mountains.
  • A tree at the very North in the mountains, where you can enter somewhere else.   Need to examine thoroughly.
  • Once you get into the area beyond the tree go <up> and explore more.

 

DIFFICULT SYNTAX TIPS

  • Need to ask Satherel many key phrases to progress the story.
    <ask elf location>  etc,  dont spoil it with excessive tips
    You know you have got the quest to solve when he gives you a polished stone disc.  (note the syntax to use it)     
  • Just a factoid, but if your swim skill is high enough you do not have to wait for the boat to the North Shore and can instead <swim lake>.  Not important just a time saver.

 

WARNINGS

  • Not sure if it is possible to fall when climbing, but this seemed to be very safe.
